Airborne Affliction Disease

Level 2 or 3, I was running on a planet and ran out of O2. I got an airborne affliction. used an INJECTOR to cure myself. Since then, it seems that every 15-20 minutes, I get a new airborne affliction. I am having to buy up every injector that I can find or constantly visit a doctor. I'm almost level 6 and thinking of rerolling it sucks that bad.
My compass always had the airborne symbol on it, no matter where I am (space, surface, inside an office, etc.)

Any ideas?

today, I got radiation poisoning and my airborne affliction went away.

I got frostbite bad last night. Standard med paks don't cure "afflictions" or being crippled or any of that like FO's stimpaks. You need a specific type of aid item for the affliction. Medpaks will boost your health meter all day long tho.
